In order to apply for the Water Supply Protection Endorsement, a plumber or irrigator MUST complete a Tester certification through one of the Board’s Approved Providers. Please note that the SPBLA endorsement allows you to install, maintain, alter and test backflow assembly’s. IF you are NOT a plumber or irrigator and wish to become a tester only, please contact the Louisiana Department of Health
The State Plumbing Board currently accepts all testing certifications issued by ASSE or ABPA. These two certifications are National Certifications, however the providers below administer the exams.
The Board also has 3 single-party certifiers in the State of Louisiana that are also accepted at this time.
